Charlotte Buijsman completed her studies of Dutch law at VU University Amsterdam  in 2001. She worked as a lawyer (employment law and law of obligations) for an insurance company for three years and elsewhere in the legal profession for two years, after which she joined Boekel De Nerée in 2007.

In 2008 she successfully completed the specialist course in employment law at Grotius Academie. Charlotte regularly organizes (in-house) workshops and writes a wide range of employment law articles for various publications. She is a member of the Vereniging voor Arbeidsrecht (Employment Law Association).
