Maurits Mazel has been a lawyer with Boekel since June 2006 and
specializes in the full range employment law issues. After studying
private law at the University of Groningen, Maurits obtained a
Master of Employment Law at the University of Amsterdam.
He assists employers, employees and works councils, advising on
and litigating in individual and collective employment termination,
restructuring, employee participation procedures, summary dismissal
and competition issues. With his expertise as a civil-law
construction lawyer, Maurits also advises on the contentious and
non-contentious employment aspects of construction law, for example
working at heights, compliance with working conditions legislation,
employers' duty of care in the use of hazardous substances, and
(impending) insolvencies. He also gives regular workshops and
publishes articles on aspects of employment law in various journals
and newsletters.
Maurits has successfully completed the Postgraduate Course labor
in Employment Law (Postacademische Leergang Arbeidsrecht (PALA))
and is a member of the Association of Employment Law (Vereniging
voor arbeidsrecht).
Voluntary Maurits is a member of a thinktank that deals with the
development of employment conditions in the creative industry.
Maurits also lectures Law at the IMC Weekendschool.
